Overview:
This position is responsible for the majority of recruitment of international students to Robert Morris University, which includes freshmen, transfer and graduate students.
Responsibilities:
- Recruits and conducts regular outreach to international students.
- Performs evaluation of all admissions applications and credentials for international students to determine admission eligibility.
- Maintains and monitors prospective student contact records using Slate (CRM).
- Serves as liaison and collaborates with offices across campus to recruit international students.
- Assists with campus visits, weekends and other special events of the Admissions Office.
- Understanding of student visa process and immigration documents is desirable.
- Conduct data analysis on past and current enrollment funnel data to direct recruiting efforts for maximum results.
- Utilize internal and external research to guide development of recruitment strategies.
- Analyze market data and trends to identify current geographic areas of opportunity as well as those for potential future growth.
- Working as an interface with international agent partners to promote RMU, host virtual events, and provide updated marketing and presentation materials.
- Ability to work on some off/irregular hours to accommodate students from different countries in their home time zone.
- Closely works and collaborates with the Center for Global Engagement .
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required
- One year of customer service experience. 1- 2 years recruiting experience at an accredited higher education institution, with an emphasis on international recruitment and counseling preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong knowledge of use of technology, including social media, in the recruiting process. Ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to diversity; demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of worldwide educational systems, ability to evaluate international educational credentials, knowledge of visa regulations, including SEVIS reporting requirements, and the Department of Homeland Security regulations preferred.
- Valid PA Driver’s License or the ability to have reliable transportation to travel on behalf of the university.
