Position Title: Renewables Finance Senior Associate

Salary: $179,088.00 - $182,000.00 per year
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary Of Duties:
- Manage the process of gathering, sorting and analyzing data for investment underwriting for tax equity investments and credit transfer brokerage transactions.
- Support origination, underwriting, and structuring of tax equity investments in residential, commercial, community and utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects, among other energy transition technologies.
- Prepare and analyze financial models and support the creation of internal investment memorandums, showcasing strategic insights and investment rationale.
- Manage due diligence activities for tax equity investment and credit transfer opportunities, including on-site visits, management meetings, and coordinating with consultants to contribute to informed investment decisions.
- Oversee investment monitoring activities and be a direct point-of-contact for internal and external stakeholders in relevant investments.
- Support recruiting efforts and assist in training junior team members.
Education requirements: Bachelor’s in Finance, Business Administration or closely related field.
Experience requirements: 5 years of post-undergraduate experience in investment banking, private equity/institutional investing, or renewable finance.
Special Skills Or Other Requirements:
Must have experience with each of the following:
- Experience in asset-based investing, including the renewable energy industry (e.g., wind, solar, batteries, hydropower) across advisory / investment / development capacities and across different project types (utility-scale / distributed generation).
- Perform in-depth due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation, including: • Reviewing financial forecasts, historical financial statements, and capital structures; • Structuring debt, equity and tax equity investments; • Conducting on-site/virtual meetings with managements and expert consultants.
- Navigate complex negotiations (e.g., term sheet, etc.) to secure favorable terms for the investor / organization by understanding the various stakeholders’ interests (e.g. coinvestors, lenders, management, contractors, etc.), brainstorming viable options, and helping drive consensus.
- Experience managing tax equity financial modeling and structuring across different transaction structures (traditional partnerships, transfers, preferred equity hybrids).
- Lead teams to drive execution across different tasks, including transactions-related workstreams, providing guidance on financial analysis, valuation, etc. to junior team members, and assist in recruitment efforts.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the ongoing performance of portfolio companies and assets, and remain a point-ofcontact with management to anticipate and tackle issues.
Travel requirements: Up to 10% domestic travel required
