DIRECTOR - I.T. OPERATIONS - CORE

Position Summary

The Director of IT Operations – Core is a crucial role within the IT leadership team. This individual will lead multiple teams in support of the Bank’s commercial and retail operations. This role will also participate in the development of strategy, governance, and ITIL-informed best practices.           

Essential Functions

• Lead and mentor managers of operations teams
• Organize tier 1/tier 2 support across operations teams
• Function as the primary technology partner to Sunrise’s retail and commercial banking teams, including in-branch technology
• With IT leadership, craft and implement IT strategy
• With IT leadership, mature the IT incident management with a focus on business communication, incident tracking, and maintaining an RCA process
• With IT leadership, mature the IT change management program
• Participate in the IT governance project, owning and contributing to relevant standards and procedures
• Prioritize, track, and manage work using Agile methodology appropriately adapted to team needs
• Maintain and improve the Freshservice ticketing system
• Maintain the IT Asset Management program, working in conjunction with other IT leaders and the business continuity team
• Manage vendor relationships including defining, tracking, and enforcing SLAs
• Participate in contract negotiations and vendor selection for Core IT systems
• Right-size all processes, striking the balance between maturity/rigor and flexibility/speed

Education & Experience

• Financial Services core technologies (Fiserv) preferred
• Experience managing many complex vendors preferred
• Experience with staff development and mentorship required
• Experience with Jira or equivalent tool required
• 10+ years’ experience in IT roles with 5+ in a managerial role required
• Ability to solve complex problems applying creativity, innovation, and technical concepts.
• Ability to work in a cooperative team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Compensation And Benefits

The expected starting annualized salary range is between: $126,819 - $181,170 - $235,521 depending on experience and qualifications.  In addition, this position is eligible for a Discretionary Bonus based on organizational goals.
