Shipping Specialist

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize in-house receiving system
• Properly pack product following company standards and utilizing UPS, FedEx, LTL and other relevant courier systems
• Verify current addresses
• Ship product adhering to company Quality control standards
• Affix barcode labels and fragile labels
• Work on freight estimates for sales department
• Purchase Orders
• Check for accuracy of packing slips, instruments/parts, and computer records
• Correctly re-containerize, label, and route materials
• Returned Goods (RGA)
• Photograph all RGA materials
• Document model/part numbers and description of part
• Protect sensitive material to prevent damage
• Correctly route all RGA material
• Monitor RGA shelves for instrumentation/parts returned to stock
• Instrumentation Returned To Stock (RTS)
• Correctly identify and label all RTS instrumentation
• Protect sensitive material to prevent damage
• Correctly route all RTS parts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of shipping experience
• “UPS On-Line” and/or “Worldship” experience and FedEx “Ship Manager”
• Knowledge of international shipping practices and documentation
• Knowledge of Microsoft based programs a plus
• Forklift Certified
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Inter-Relationships:

• Frequent contact with the purchasing and sales department
• Contact with all levels of personnel within the company and with vendors

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Overtime required occasionally
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
