About The Position
The Princeton Review (TPR) is seeking a user-centered Product Manager who is deeply dedicated to creating delightful experiences for customers, makes decisions based on a thorough understanding of user pain points and data/insights, expertly collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, and has experience driving the execution of a roadmap in an agile environment.
What You'Ll Do
- Deeply understand our users: Through continuous discovery, engagement with data and insights, and a solid grasp of the broader market, come to thoroughly know our customers and their experience of our platform in both future and ideal state.
- Champion customer needs: Through continuous, extensive direct customer engagement and market research, develop an evidence-based perspective on customer pain points and use cases that inform product features and content development.
- Conduct meaningful experiments: Run regular experiments on high-value product opportunities to validate and refine solutions, collecting actionable feedback to inform decision-making.
- Leverage AI to drive innovation: Apply AI and advanced technologies within the platform to build a more adaptative, flexible experience.
- Deliver roadmaps: Serve as a leader on a cross-functional development team to deliver on a roadmap that grows customer value, incorporating new feature / product needs, enhancements, support requests, and bug fixes at appropriate levels.
- Build agilely: Working closely with engineering and design colleagues, work in alignment with agile methodologies to plan and execute iterative development cycles.
- Iterate toward impact: Continuously refine product solutions through cycles of prototyping, user feedback, and incremental releases, ensuring that each iteration delivers measurable value and informs the next.
- Maintain backlog: Maintain a prioritized backlog of validated solutions, bug fixes, and other stories to drive continuous improvement and innovation for our customers in your product / platform area.
- Manage projects cross-functionally: Rally cross-functional teams to understand and hit milestones and deadlines. Serve as the “quarterback” who coordinates multiple teams (e.g., content operations, engineering, QA) and works backwards to set and follow timelines.
- Drive clarity across the organization: Clearly and compellingly communicate user value delivery to stakeholders across sales, marketing, customer success, and the broader leadership team.
Who You Are
- Degree: BA required
- 2+ years of experience in Product Management or similar, ideally with experience in B2C, driving customer-focused product development from discovery through delivery and continuous iteration
- Education expertise: Understanding of the education landscape, including market trends, opportunities, and challenges, with a specific focus on the needs of learners and students
- Experimentation: Skilled in customer research, experimentation, and generating actionable plans from learnings
- Agile experience: Familiarity with agile methodologies and backlog/roadmap management
- Data analysis: Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data and insights (SQL, BI tools, or similar) to guide decisions
- Close-knit tech collaboration: Previous experience collaborating closely with engineering and design
- Innovation and AI: Proven ability to drive innovation in product development. In particular, experience with launching AI features and products
- Project management: Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with multi-disciplinary stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills: Excellent communicator, in writing and verbally, capable of conveying product vision and value to technical and non-technical audiences
