About the RoleAs a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI, you will lead the development and deployment of innovative AI models that leverage text and multimodal capabilities to address core business challenges. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you’ll drive projects from conceptualization to deployment, focusing on enhancing customer interactions and operational efficiency through advanced AI technologies.
This position will be based in our Amsterdam office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with teams to build high-quality and effective ML solutions that can be integrated and scaled into products.
• Define and meet ambitious impact goals where ML can make a difference.
• Explain and provide advice on machine learning applications to a diverse set of stakeholders (thought leadership).
• Lead experimentation with emerging technologies, accelerating the adoption of new tools and ideas.
• Collaborate with our global community of 500+ data scientists on end-to-end ML projects.
• Shape the use of next-generation ML technologies in the products we build for our hundreds of millions of customers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience in a data science role with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and principles, and the ability to apply them effectively to solve complex problems.
• Prior exposure to NLP, computer vision, or other specialized ML fields.
• A real passion for AI and machine learning: you are able to share it and motivate others!

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD degree in AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Direct experience in developing and deploying large language models (LLMs) and other generative AI applications.
• Experience in a multinational business environment and the ability to handle projects involving teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and familiarity with their data science ecosystems.
