Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of global accounting and financial reporting by providing leadership, business collaboration, process knowledge and technical expertise to Sandisk Finance. This role will lead our GL Operations, Global Close and Consolidation, and Technical Accounting and External Reporting teams.
This role ideally is based at our HQ location in Milpitas and will likely will involve some periodic global travel.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of professionals who oversee all aspects of the company’s monthly/quarterly close processes and, and external and technical accounting and quarterly/annual reporting
- Overall lead for the company’s the monthly and quarterly close and external reporting processes with a focus on driving continuous process and systems improvements (i.e. quality and efficiency of output) to enable optimal business decisions and outcomes
- Own the development and implementation of Sandisk's accounting policies, adapting to the changes in our business as well as the evolution of US GAAP
- Ensure a strong control and compliance framework with corporate SOX and key controls, adherence to US GAAP and other statutory requirements and support for external/internal audits and reviews
- Point person on behalf of CAO responsible for external auditor relationship for all areas other than Revenue
- Partner closely with the Finance senior leadership team (including FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax and Treasury) to ensure alignment of accounting with both finance and business objectives
- Support new business initiatives/models which require enhancement or development of Finance/Accounting systems in support of those activities
- Collaborate with IT and other Sandisk functional teams, as applicable, during design, implementation, and post-implementation phases of accounting-related projects
- For cross-company led initiatives, lead the Accounting team’s participation in those initiatives (together with relevant Finance Leadership) and incorporate those project plans into annual and longer-term project plan assumptions
- Support M&A integration and divestiture activities for Finance leveraging SME expertise in key process areas
Qualifications
Qualifications (Preferred):
- CPA or Chartered Accountant
- Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
- Oracle and/or SAP experience
- Experience with a publicly traded Multi-National Company
- Best practices familiarity and benchmarking capabilities in Record-to-Report and/or Order-to-Cash processes

- An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
