Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Power Electronics Engineer to join our team in developing robust and reliable power conversion systems and industrial motor drives. The role involves ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, supporting requirements capture, and validating prototypes. You will work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to design and develop industrial voltage, low-power converters and motor drives for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) and induction motors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and working procedures, support will be provided.
- Support requirements capture and analysis for industrial motor drives and power converters.
- Perform testing and validation of third-party high-voltage motor drive prototypes (400V systems).
- Collaborate with electronics and firmware engineers on developing robust and reliable motor drive (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors or induction motors) and high-voltage, low-power (e.g., DC 1200V to 24V, 50W) power supply systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in, Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of power semiconductor devices (e.g., MOSFETs, IGBTs) and electromagnetic components (e.g., transformers, inductors).
- Experience working with three-phase systems up to 3 phase 690V is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with AC-DC and/or DC-DC power converters.
- Familiarity with motor control techniques for PMSM or induction motors.
- Experience with programming languages such as C and Python.
- Experience with schematic design software like Altium.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice To Have):
- Experience with modelling and circuit simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, or similar.
- Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32 or similar platforms)
