We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. This role requires a strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, eager to learn and contribute to process improvements. Prior experience in SaaS or AdTech industries is a strong plus.
What You'Ll Do:
- Manage the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with ASC 606 for 2 entities.
- Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, accounts receivable and bad debt.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
- Assist with sales and use tax compliance and support implementation initiatives..
- Partner with Revenue Operations, Sales, and Client Success teams to address billing inquiries and help reduce client credit memos issued
- Monitor customer aging balances and manage the collection efforts on delinquent accounts.
- DSO optimization through automated dunning, conversion of check to ACH where possible and resolving client issues promptly
- Participate in the external audit process, including preparation of supporting documentation, footnotes, and revenue-related disclosures.
- Produce accurate and timely revenue reports for management review.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within your processes
- Support broader accounting functions and special projects as needed.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Cpa Designation Preferred.
- 5 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, with a strong focus on ASC 606.
- Experience with external audits, experience writing ASC 606 memo plus.
- Experience working in Adtech preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite a must
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in AdTech or SaaS preferred
Compensation
The approximate compensation range for this position is $100,000-$115,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
