Platform Engineer | Growth and Transformation

The Growth and Transformation team at Red Ventures is seeking a Platform Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems at scale. In this role, you’ll shape and optimize our multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Databricks), ensuring they are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient. You’ll work across diverse engineering teams, bringing both hands-on expertise and strategic influence to how we build, scale, and govern our infrastructure.

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.

What You’Ll Do:

• Engineer and optimize resilient multi-cloud (AWS/GCP) and multi-region environments.
• Secure and govern platforms by implementing compliance frameworks and IAM best practices.
• Automate everything with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and custom tooling.
• Optimize costs and performance across AWS, GCP, and Databricks by leveraging monitoring and observability tools.
• Collaborate deeply with engineering teams to shape architecture, resolve incidents, and deliver improvements.
• Contribute to strategy by influencing architectural decisions and scaling best practices.

What We’Re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of platform engineering or cloud infrastructure experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS and GCP (multi-cloud, multi-region)
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Experience implementing cloud security and compliance frameworks
• Skilled in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with cloud cost management tools (Cost Explorer, Cloudability, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams

Bonus Points For:

• Direct Databricks administration experience
• Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Databricks)
• Knowledge of regulated environments (SOC2, PCI, GDPR, financial services)
• Experience with chaos engineering or disaster recovery planning
• Exposure to Salesforce, Adobe, or data lake/warehouse architectures

Compensation:

• Cash Compensation Range: $100,000 - $145,000 per year
