Cloud AI Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Cloud AI Engineer to join our team.  Cloud AI Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering AI/ML projects on AWS Cloud by understanding and translating the clients’ business use cases to design and implement an integrated solution suitable to their needs. Cloud AI Engineer interacts with different internal and external roles like developers, security experts, solutions architects, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate cloud-native AI/ML services that are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient ensuring that they meet the business objectives and adhere to service level agreements (SLA). 
• Deploy and maintainAI applications on cloud- architecture. 
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) stacks: embeddings, vector stores, chunking, and evaluation. 
• Create MLOps foundations: experiment tracking, model registry, CI/CD for data & models, and Infrastructure-as-Code.  
• Investigate new techniques, tools, and methods that might increase efficiency among engineering & technology and cloud teams, as well as leading execution processes of topics evaluated & planned for roll-out. 
• Collaborate with other technical leaders and business stakeholders to align all constraints and come up with solutions regarding project/product/initiative outputs. 
• Be accountable for the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure and services. 
• Provide visibility of performance, cost, and the security of cloud infrastructure and services. 
• Drive continuous improvement, continuous delivery, and lean practices within the cloud team. 
• Keep up to date on modern technologies and trends and advocate for their inclusion within products when it makes sense. 
• Identify emerging technology solutions that reduce costs, increase efficiencies, enhance capabilities, reduce risk and improve security. 
• Ensure that all cloud technology applications create a positive customer experience. 

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field 
• Up to 2 years of similar job experience 
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments. 
• Experience in Gen AI/ML applications, security, compute, containerization, data, application integration, cost optimization, performance enhancement services and technologies on cloud 
• Sound understanding of LLM systems: tokenization/embeddings, context management, guardrails, offline/online evaluation and cloud architecture design 
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock (Claude/Titan/Cohere) for inference and SageMaker basics (training/inference endpoints). 
• Code development in Python, GoLang 
• Fluent in written and spoken English, in addition to Turkish 

Nice To Have

• Knowledge of other cloud providers such as Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, etc. 
• AWS certificates like GenAI Practitioner, Machine Learning Engineer – Associate, Data Engineer – Associate, Machine Learning– Speciality 
• Experience with relational, NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.), vector databases (pgvector/FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate) and feature stores (e.g., Feast) 
• FinOps practices and cost/performance tuning for LLM inference (throughput, latency, caching). 
• Experience with Amazon SageMaker Projects/Experiments/Model Registry and SageMaker Pipelines; ability to fine-tune open-source models (e.g., HuggingFace) using PEFT/LoRA/QLoRA and deploy via Real-time/Serverless/Async/MME endpoints. 
• Knowledge of managed AI services (Textract, Comprehend, Transcribe, Rekognition, Kendra) and when to prefer “build vs buy” relative to Bedrock/SageMaker.
