The Role

• Develop and implement comprehensive SSD firmware test strategies tailored to support new features and functions, ensuring alignment with product requirements.
• Establish clear and actionable gating criteria for firmware releases, driving improvements in test rigor and stability throughout key program milestones.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional program teams to manage qualification schedules, track deliverables, coordinate dependencies, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Effectively allocate and oversee resources to ensure timely and high-quality execution of drive qualification projects and successful FW integration.

What You'Ll Do

• Project Management: Drive comprehensive SSD firmware test management by defining and executing rigorous test strategies, establishing gating criteria, ensuring program stability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to oversee qualification schedules, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and resources for seamless feature integration and release quality.
• Agile Leadership: Lead the team sprints, set sprint goals, manage the backlog, and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and iterative development.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve the firmware team productivity and engineering development processes to enhance product quality and development speed.
• Team Development: Manage team performance, conduct 1-on-1 meetings, provide timely feedback, and contribute to the professional growth and development of team members.

What You Bring

• Extensive Experience – SSD/Storage/Embedded validation and  technical leadership roles, specifically in SSD/Flash-based product validation.
• Strong Technical Expertise – Deep knowledge of storage architectures, flash technologies, SSD controllers, hardware design, and qualification processes across SI, protocol, and functional levels.
• Programming & Automation Skills – Proficient in Python, C, and C++, with proven ability to design, refine, and automate validation and qualification processes.
• Project & Process Leadership – Experienced in Agile and continuous integration practices, successfully managing projects across the full product development lifecycle.
• Collaboration & Problem-Solving – Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration and delivering customer-focused improvements
