Overview:

As a Sales Engineer at Precisely, you will build and apply your technical expertise by staying current on emerging technologies, platforms, industry trends, and Precisely solutions. You will leverage this knowledge to support customer engagements and contribute to complex sales opportunities. This requires developing strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams while actively collaborating, sharing insights, and driving engagement to further develop revenue-generating initiatives.  

What You Will Do:

  • Architect the technology solution. Present Precisely solutions demonstrating the value of our offerings in sales meetings, customer/partner workshops, and at events such as customer onsites and ​
  • Support enterprise solution sales opportunities within/across regions.
  • Provide technical leadership/subject matter expertise for the implementation of Precisely solutions in customer environments (OnPrem/Cloud/Hybrid). 
  • Provide consultative solutions spanning across multiple business units (e.g. Financial Services, Telecommunication, Retail, etc.).
  • Lead customers on a transformational journey by developing a deep understanding of customers’ goals and objectives and articulating how to adopt Precisely as part of their 
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and Marketing, etc. to help identify additional opportunities to engage with customers. Also, evaluating potential technical risks and provide risk mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate the creation of collateral, contributing to programs and collaborating with other teams to meet client needs (e.g. reference architectures, deployment roadmaps, implementation roadmaps, ).
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in technology industry trends and identify opportunities to implement new technologies to gain a competitive advantage in the field.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (early-in-career: 0–2 years’ experience and/or internship experience). 
  • Strong technical aptitude and readiness for a Sales Engineer (SE) role or 1-2 years of experience as an SE, technical role, and/or Sales
  • Experience or exposure to:
  • AI/ML technologies and hyperscaler platforms (a plus)
  • Previous experience especially with API-centric solutions is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to create technical collateral and collaborate across teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing).
  • Interest in product/concept selling and pre-sales solutioning.
  • Ability to evaluate technical risks and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Kubernetes and its value in cloud-native environments.
  • Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Python (required); PieSpark (a plus).
  • Geospatial and location intelligence technologies (a plus)
