Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team.
This role is preferred to be based onsite at our Sedro-Woolley, Washington State or Layton, Utah locations.
Position Description
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in executing company-wide recruiting initiatives that align with organizational priorities and long-term workforce planning. This role delivers advanced sourcing strategies, drives process improvements, and elevates the candidate experience. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist influences across the business by providing deep expertise and innovative solutions in talent acquisition.
The following essential job functions are performed as a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist:
- Partner with HR team and hiring managers to understand positions that need to be filled and their requirements
- Support a variety of roles that include, but is not limited to, production, technical, and engineering
- Provide innovative recruiting ideas and strategies that result in timely flow and hire of qualified applicants. Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
- Utilize technology, web searches, and social networking to source applicants
- Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations
- Communicate with applicants during the entire recruiting process
- Track and maintain applicant progress through the recruiting software
- Schedule and coordinate onsite interviews for candidates, including travel
- Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and negotiate employment terms
- Participate in job fairs, network with schools, and various community groups
- Take ownership of candidate experience by reviewing or developing job postings and job descriptions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or HR field preferred. Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma.
- 7+ years’ experience within recruiting or agency environment, ideally with specific experience with technical or engineering recruiting background preferred
- Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced, demanding, high growth, yet collaborative environment – requires a strong sense of urgency and agility
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices preferred
- Must be proactive with a positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities using strong organization and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication skills, including not only written and oral communication skills in English, with timely feedback and updates to hiring managers
- Aptitude for computer systems, including proficiency with MS Office products and the Internet
- Requires travel to attend job fairs and develop sourcing network
- Work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Must be able to work well both independently, in a group, and with a diverse array of management and communication styles
- Must be able to always maintain confidentiality
Additional Information
- Salary range for this role is between $120,000 and $145,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
