Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics - IP Policy & Risk

Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Specialty Compliance and Ethics (IP Policy & Risk) leads global intellectual property policy development and strategic enforcement initiatives across Walmart’s ecommerce platforms. The right person in this role oversees external-facing guidance, internal training, and operational workflows to ensure consistent, clear, and customer-trust-driven IP practices. With direct and dotted-line reports, the Senior Manager partners across Legal, Compliance, and Operations to drive global alignment, monitor emerging risks, and strengthen Walmart’s brand protection posture.

What You'Ll Do...

• Lead the development of Walmart’s global IP policies and external-facing guidance, ensuring clarity and regional legal alignment.
• Oversee internal training content and rollout strategies to improve notice handling and reduce escalation risk.
• Manage SOPs, workflows, and templates to support scalable enforcement operations.
• Monitor global IP risk trends and partner with stakeholders to proactively update policies and protocols.
• Manage a team including direct reports, dotted-line contributors, and offshore support agents.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure consistency and clarity across markets.

What You'Ll Bring...

• 3–5+ years of experience in intellectual property enforcement, brand protection, or legal operations.
• Proven ability to develop and communicate policy across global teams and external audiences.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of IP concerns in ecommerce and regional legal nuances.
• Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A high degree of ownership and independence—able to drive initiatives forward with minimal oversight, proactively identifying needs, identifying solutions, and driving to resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Expertise in Excel, with the ability to analyze data and trends to inform strategic planning and operational improvements.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 2 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
