The Role and Department

Global Procurement is a key enabler of Genmab’s strategic transformation – supporting speed, operational efficiency, and financial performance. As Genmab scales and accelerates its pipeline, Procurement plays a pivotal role in driving time-to-market for new therapies through optimized sourcing strategies, digital solutions, and strategic partnerships. Our vision is to build a best-in-class, data-driven procurement organization that supports the fast-moving and complex needs of a global biotech leader.

We are looking to add a new Category Cluster Lead, TechOps who will be overseeing all  procurement activities related to Technical Operations (TechOps). The role will evolve over time and be split into two phases: first, establishing the collaboration framework between TechOps and Procurement, and second, leading and managing the TechOps procurement cluster.

In the initial phase, you will partner closely with TechOps leadership to define the operating model – clarifying scope, depth of involvement, roles and responsibilities, procurement processes, and vendor management alignment. Once established, the role will assume full accountability for category management, operational procurement excellence, supplier negotiations, commercial terms and value generation in the TechOps cluster.

This position requires deep technical understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing in order to be a credible partner to TechOps and to ensure procurement strategies are fully aligned with operational realities.
