Process and Mechanical Engineering Industrial Placement 2026, UK

A career in Engineering where none of us stand still. 

This role will provide insights and experience of process and mechanical engineering systems and engineering risk management within Haleon’s Global Engineering team, for example developing engineering risk management practices and analysing project performance. 

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?  

As a Process and Mechanical Engineering Industrial Placement student, you will: 

• Work with different stakeholders across the business. 
• Support our risk management approach to control engineering risks while learning about Process Safety and Machinery Safety in manufacturing. 
• Analyze performance data to identify strengths and weaknesses and help develop proposals to manage these areas. 
• Enhance our use of technology in managing engineering risks. 
• Review and update engineering guidance and standards to ensure they are current and fit for the Consumer Healthcare industry. 
• Support and enable our Sustainability Targets and Goals. 
• Gain a broad understanding of engineering, including facilities, manufacturing processes, and the application of fundamentals of process and mechanical engineering. 

Education Requirements:

To be studying for a degree in Engineering (Undergraduate or Masters) and seeking a 12 month Industrial Placement. 

If you are studying for your Undergraduate Degree, you must be in your 2nd year of study (England) or 3rd year of study (Scotland) and seeking to complete a year in industry in partnership with your university.   

Role Start Date: September 2026

Application Process:

The application process has a total of up to 4 stages:

• Application – information will be required regarding your education and Right to Work.
• Online Assessment – you will be asked to complete a behaviour based online assessment/interview.
• One-Way Video Interview – if selected you receive a link to complete an online interview focusing on your motivation for joining Haleon and what transferrable skills you will bring to the role. This will be screened by the Early Talent Team.
• Interview – if selected you will be invited to attend a virtual interview; The interview will consist of a competency-based interview and may include a case study/technical exercise.
• Offer – candidates will receive an outcome within 2 weeks following interview.

Interviews will be held in November/December 2025
