The Four Seasons Resort Maldives is currently looking for a Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating memorable guest experiences. Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant is part of a diverse and dynamic team which provides award winning service to our valued guests. This position reports to the Director of Housekeeping.

A Maldivian work permit will be provided by the resort.

Special Requirements

  • Possesses good English, Maths, and Psychometric abilities
  • Passed O Levels
  • Has 1-2 years of relevant experience in Five Star Hotels or Resorts
  • Possesses aptitude and upward mobility
  • Possesses finesse and personal flair

Major Responsibilities

General

  • Executes all tasks assigned by his/her superiors
  • Demonstrates high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as a role model
  • Attends all scheduled training sessions
  • Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule

Departmental

  • Cleans and stocks guest accommodation including private gardens & pools, and public areas as assigned and in accordance with resort standards
  • Stocks and maintains the linen huts in a clean, neat and orderly fashion
  • Provides genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area. Promotes resort services and products
  • Possesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills. Keeps abreast of events in the resort
  • Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Is knowledgeable about and handles chemicals safely and economically
  • Sorts, tags and processes guest laundry, uniforms and hotel linen; collects and delivers guest laundry
  • Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery; reports defects and accidents to management immediately
  • Offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented

Specific Responsibilities and Tasks

General

  • Adheres to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards
  • Is seen as working hands-on, assists colleagues during crunch times; walk the talk
  • Actively participates in briefings and meetings
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environment
  • Performs any additional duties as assigned

Departmental

  • Makes beds, does thorough dusting on and wipes all furniture and floors; is well versed in the use of various chemicals and equipment
  • Sweeps outdoor areas; cleans private pools; performs turndown service
  • Restocks minibars and documents consumption
  • Ensures proper procedures are adhered to when handling a "Do Not Disturb" room
  • Removes room service dishes and amenity presentations to the service area
  • Maintains pars established in all guest rooms for linen and supplies
  • Assumes responsibility for master keys and other equipment as assigned
  • Reports all maintenance requirements in rooms assigned on a daily basis
  • Carefully reads Care Instructions on garments and processes accordingly
  • Does minor garment repairs as required; adheres to the 'unprocessed garment' procedure
