Job Title: Real Estate Investment Associate
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: London, St Pauls
Department: Real Estate Investment
Position Summary:
ICG Real Estate manages funds and other investment vehicles with aggregate commitments of over $8.0bn across Real Estate debt and equity strategies. The real estate team is comprised of 42 investment professionals based in London and Paris.
You will join ICG Real Estate’s Metropolitan team, a small, highly entrepreneurial and driven Private Equity team within ICG Real Estate. The team has substantial capital to invest in value-add and opportunistic pan-European transactions and has the ambition to become the leading real estate player in the upper-mid market over the next 5 years with the support of the ICG global platform.
Initiated in 2021, ICG Real Estate’s Metropolitan team has to date focused on the Logistics & Industrial sector and created Axel Logistics, a leading pan-European logistics platform. The successful candidate will initially support Metropolitan’s investments to further grow the Axel Logistics platform but is also expected to support the team’s expansion into other sectors.
Leveraging ICG’s corporate and structuring DNA, the investment profile targets 1) corporate and platform investments and 2) special situations / structured equity transactions in the European mid-market space and aims to deliver returns in excess of 15% IRR.
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a fast-growing business with a hands-on approach and to contribute to all facets of the investment and capital raising process. The candidate will have a “cradle-to-grave” approach to deals and will participate in all aspects of a transaction from origination, through asset management to sale. The candidate will have significant professional growth opportunities benefiting from a flat organisational structure and extensive exposure to the senior members of the real estate team.
The role is London-based with frequent international travel expected.
As part of the wider ICG Real Estate Equity team, the successful candidate will further have access to deploying funds raised under ICG Real Estate’s Strategic Real Estate programme, a leading European investor in the NNN lease space with a focus on Logistics, Grocery and Leisure investments.
