About The Role

MSS Security is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee operations at a large, multi-site university campus in the Newcastle region.

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing a team of approximately 60 security personnel across several university sites, with day-to-day operations based at a central location. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

This position requires strong people leadership, operational oversight, and a proactive approach to risk and incident management within a dynamic public-facing setting.

What You'Ll Do:

• Manage daily security operations across multiple client sites in the Newcastle area
• Lead and support a dispersed team of approx. 60 staff
• Conduct site visits, audits, and performance assessments
• Coordinate rostering, training, and supervision across teams
• Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with security protocols, safety standards, and site procedures
• Provide professional incident and risk management, including response coordination
• NSW Security Licence, First Aid & CPR Certification

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Security Manager role – 2+ years desirable
• Proven ability to manage large teams across multiple locations
• Solid knowledge of physical security operations and access control systems
• Professional communication and leadership skills
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise under pressure
• Confident decision-maker with strong incident management experience
• Master Licence Number: 408742075
