Role Description
You’ll be a well-seasoned software engineer with 8+ years of experience and join a team of other enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You’ll be very familiar with the SDLC and Agile practices and able to translate requirements into technical solutions whilst communicating effectively both in and outside your team. You’ll have development skills, familiar with IDE’s and development tool sets. You’ll be a mentor in the team and help others build solutions and identify coding inaccuracies efficiently through code reviews. You’ll excel as an engineer and a role model for others to follow with exposure to team leading.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, manage and upgrade Informatica software on large scale platform. (Informatica PC, CDIPC, IDMC, Data Transformations Setup )
- Configure and Manage Informatica services like Imformatica Repository, Domains, IS, nodes.
- Perform user and role management along with security configuration and folder level management.
- Automate, Develop , Manage and troubleshoot administrative task like Backups, cleanup , kill users, onboarding and deployments in Informatica environment using shell scripts, Ansible (Unix shell script and ansible expertise is must. )
- Experience is troubleshooting Informatica services like IS, nodes and domains along with Workflow, session and run time objects.
- Integrate Informatica with external schedulers and third party tools like control-m, Autosys, Geneos, Grafanna.
- Good exposure on OS patch and lifecycle management to upgrade system and be Compliant with latest versions/patches.
- Design, develop, administrate and deploy robust, scalable, and high-performance ETL/ELT data pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IDMC.
- Hands-on exposure with Apache Beam, GCP Dataflow, and Spark.
- Architect and implement data migration strategies from on-premise systems to cloud-native solutions on GCP.
- Write advanced, optimized SQL queries, and work with complex data models across various database systems.
- Automate data workflows, deployments, and infrastructure management using scripting languages like Python and Shell.
- Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and application owners to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production data pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and timeliness.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects using tools like GitHub Actions to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with Terraform to provision and manage cloud data resources.
- Ensure all data solutions adhere to security, governance, and compliance standards.
- Operate effectively in a Unix/Linux environment and troubleshoot network-related data flow issues.
Your skills and experience
- 5-8 years of professional experience in data engineering or ETL development.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter (PC) and Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
- Proven experience with modern distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam, GCP Dataflow, or Apache Spark.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Solid scripting skills in Python and/or Shell.
- In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, commands, and environments.
- Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Good-To-Have):
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
- GCP Professional Data Engineer certification is a strong plus.
