About This Opportunity:

Lead engineering excellence at our manufacturing facility! As Engineering Manager, you'll drive innovation, optimize operations, and lead high-performing technical teams. This strategic role combines hands-on project leadership with long-term asset management, directly impacting our factory's success across Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale, and Innovation (PQCDSMI) metrics.

You'll have overall responsibility for engineering projects, maintenance operations, utilities, production lines, processing plants, and facilities—ensuring our manufacturing operations run at peak performance.

What You'Ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Innovation

  • Lead and develop technical and maintenance teams delivering Projects, Innovation, Infrastructure, and Services across the site
  • Champion innovation implementation, evaluating design alternatives for manufacturing excellence in alignment with USCC/category technology standards
  • Partner with Category and Engineering Excellence teams to drive technology upgrades and regional network innovation delivery
  • Build organizational expertise in Product, Process, and Packaging relevant to our asset base

Asset & Project Management

  • Develop and deploy comprehensive plans to maximize asset utilization while supervising maintenance operations
  • Prepare and manage Capital budgets and Capital Expenditure Proposals aligned with cluster and category requirements
  • Execute the capital projects portfolio from approval through closure, applying TPM principles for Early Equipment Management
  • Lead Early Equipment Management and Planned Maintenance TPM pillars, including SIMAS application
  • Optimize maintenance costs, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) for all production lines

Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with Operations Teams to drive site and line efficiencies while reducing waste
  • Establish and maintain effective preventative maintenance systems for plant and services (TPM-based)
  • Plan and execute breakdown maintenance activities with minimal disruption
  • Optimize spare parts safety stock levels aligned with working capital targets
  • Implement control measures ensuring system accuracy in spare parts accounting and consumption
  • Manage engineering contractors while ensuring statutory and legal compliance

Infrastructure & Sustainability

  • Create and implement continuous improvement plans for energy, water, treatment, steam, and all infrastructure services
  • Execute Energy Efficiency programs and sustainability initiatives
  • Manage infrastructure contracts and contractor relationships

Safety & Quality

  • Own safety for all project-related operations, maintaining and establishing safe working procedures
  • Manage Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects throughout the project lifecycle—from design (PHA, HAZOPS, MDSAS) through equipment selection, implementation, commissioning, and handover
  • Ensure all work meets the highest quality standards at the lowest possible cost

Budget & Standards Management

  • Oversee Projects, Innovation, and Maintenance budgets
  • Implement and manage engineering standards across the site
  • Drive securing, rationalization, and standardization of engineering spares

People Development

  • Coach and develop teams on technical and technology issues
  • Build capabilities across the organization

What You Bring -

Education & Technical Background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (B.E./B.Tech) 
  • Strong technical foundation with practical application experience

Preferred Professional Experience

  • Preferred experience of managing shopfloor operations in the FMCG sector with multiple supervisors and blue-collar workforce.
  • Driving operational improvements and managing change.

Location-Based Role: This will be a site-based position with minimal travel requirements.

You'll collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external partners like Finance, R&D, Quality, HR, IT, Planning, and Procurement, unions, Factory leadership, Suppliers and equipment vendors etc.
