Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing the production and delivery of high-quality feed to Tyson growers at the lowest cost while ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will oversee daily drug inventory for FDA compliance, obtain driver reports for DOT compliance, and manage personnel in Housekeeping and Preventative Maintenance. Additionally, you will coordinate production schedules, manage inventories, hold safety meetings, plan budgets, and keep upper management informed.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Management: Ensure high-quality feed production and delivery at the lowest cost.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain daily drug inventory for FDA compliance and obtain driver reports for DOT compliance.
• Personnel Management: Supervise Housekeeping and Preventative Maintenance departments.
• Scheduling and Inventory: Coordinate production schedules and manage corresponding inventories.
• Safety Meetings: Conduct monthly safety meetings to address and correct issues.
• Budget Planning: Participate in quarterly budget planning.
• Communication: Keep upper management informed and perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Education:
• Experience: 3+ years preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. May require knowledge of the Tyson Business Computer System.
• Supervisory Skills: Responsible for supervising personnel in a single department or work unit.
• Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
• Special knowledge in fields such as accounting, data processing, or electronics.
• Typically acquired through two years of college, resulting in an Associate's degree or equivalent.

The Feed Mill Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the feed mill to ensure efficient production of high-quality poultry feed. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, maintaining equipment, and optimizing processes to meet production goals. The supervisor works closely with quality assurance, maintenance, and live production teams to ensure proper feed formulation and distribution.
