About The Role

You (SW PL) will manage, as part of the SW project lead team, an overly complex program. The SW PL is one of the main customer contacts for overall software function and timing. Sets team up for success in following process, managing change and SW release to customers, factories, and service for designated sub-projects. Also, you ensure product compliance with statutory and regulatory laws (certifications).

What You Will Do

• You will coordinate the SW Team, as part of the SW project lead team.
• Deliver SW for Customer programs in high quality, in time and in cost.
• Ensure elevated level of collaboration and transparency between the various entities involved with project execution, including (but not limited to) the CG, SW/HW domain and Test.
• Own and monitor the project metrics and ensure they stay healthy. Identify risks early and initiate mitigation actions in a timely and effective manner.
• Oversee the activities within the various programs that they are responsible for and provide their team with the necessary guidance and support required to be successful.
• Ensure that the SW Leadership team- Development & release to HARMAN and customer requirements- Develops and executes project SW plan to adhere to process- Release design to factory / Effective change management- Software technical tradeoffs (Cost, performance, Demo, timing)
• The programs in scope have an overly complex setup due to fact that the OEMs are deciding architectures with suppliers including own parts direct at the OEMs. Such setups will cause at Harman (who is first tier supplier) additional big challenges to manage and balance escalations.
• Work together with Biz-Analysts (from the regional Support offices) to identify and prioritize improvement areas in the different projects to optimize engineering costs and use synergies between projects of same OEM or region 

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 10+ years of overall professional experience in development and delivery
• 5+ years of Experience in automotive project development.
• Proven expertise in developing complex systems from architecture, implementation to test.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor diverse teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication

Bonus Points if You Have

• Master’s degree in engineering, MBA

• Be willing to work in an office in Europe/APAC, depending on regional responsibilities.
