If this describes you, we have a unique and exciting opportunity to join our Continuous Improvement Team.  This is a primarily on-site position that will support our SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, leaders, and teams.   

This position identifies, develops, and deploys continuous improvement activities utilizing the systems and elements within the SSM Health Operating Model such as the following:

  • Coach frontline leaders and team on process improvement tools and behaviors
  • Support leader and team problem solving
  • Ensure alignment of organizational goals to the work being done
  • Coach to change management tools
  • Serve as subject matter expert on SSM Health Operating Model

Job Summary:

Supports assigned areas through the coaching and development of functional and front line leaders on the administration, deployment and technical aspects of organization’s operating model. Works closely with assigned leadership to surface needs and plan appropriate responses. Facilitates activities based on needs, and delivers educational content to leaders and teams related to operating model and CI methodology. Assists in identifying, monitoring and mentoring leaders to improve outcomes using systems and elements in the operating model.

Job Responsibilities And Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as a coach to departments and/or functional leaders on the implementation and deployment of organization’s operating model.
  • Builds a culture of continuous learning and enablement through the deployment of organization’s operating model.
  • Supports curriculum development through observation, providing formal and informal feedback.
  • Coordinates and leads key improvement initiatives while acting as a coach to internal teams; coordinating workshops, team trainings, and openly sharing technical expertise related to operating model to ensure continued adoption of the systems and elements.
  • Coaches and develops a problem-solving culture at all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitates in-person or virtual “train the trainer” sessions in a professional, articulate manner that clearly demonstrates mission and values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

  • One year of experience in a professional setting

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
