Position Summary:
KBR is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN). The SCN provides highly reliable and secure data transfer, telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites.
Duties And Responsibilities:
We are looking for an individual who can directly support and foster a positive relationship with the team and our customer. You will work directly with the Project Manager, providing support to ensure the project stays on schedule and meets contract objectives. You will work directly with engineers, resource managers, and our customers to ensure resources are allocated efficiently, manage budgets, and ensure project activities are aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained
- Provide the coordination between project managers, resource managers/supervisors and ensure all necessary finance reviews and approvals are accomplished
- Monitor the schedules and ensure project deliverables are completed on time
- Schedule meetings with the customer, capture action items, and record decisions
- Possesses the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong written and verbal communication and proficiency in analytical skills
- Work with project managers/lead engineers, and team members to support the design, development, and integration of systems and subsystems
- Monitor project progress and address potential issues, measure and report on project performance
- Develop and maintain presentation material for project reviews in Microsoft PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities
- Perform other project management duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications And Skills Requirements:
- Requires a college or university degree in Business or a related field
- Typically requires 4 to 7 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
Travel Requirements
- 10%
Basic Compensation:
- $80 - $105k
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
