Job Summary

The Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Activation is a senior executive responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all sponsorship activation efforts for Comcast Spectacor’s sports and entertainment portfolio including the Philadelphia Flyers (NHL), Xfinity Mobile Arena, Stateside Live! entertainment district, and the Philadelphia Wings (NLL). This role ensures that brand partners derive maximum value from their investments, aligning with the organization’s goals and fan engagement strategies. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of brand marketing, fan engagement, sports sponsorships, and integrated marketing campaigns.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of sponsorship activation strategies for all corporate partners.
  • Serve as the senior liaison between internal teams, department employees and key sponsor accounts to ensure all activations align with contractual obligations and brand objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, content, game-day operations, community relations, and digital teams to deliver fully integrated programs.
  • Ensure seamless delivery of activations during live events, including managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of on-site, digital, broadcast, and experiential activations.
  • Innovate and drive new experiential concepts that maximize sponsor visibility and fan engagement.
  • Define KPIs and oversee the reporting of performance metrics to evaluate the success and ROI of all activations.
  •  Prepare and present post-activation recaps and performance summaries for partners.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sponsorship activation team.
  • Allocate resources efficiently and oversee day-to-day team functions, ensuring delivery excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a trusted partner to brand clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction and renewal of sponsorship agreements.
  • Proactively identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities within existing partner relationships.

Qualifications:

  •  10+ years of relevant experience in sponsorship activation, brand partnerships, or sports marketing, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing high-profile sponsorship programs in the sports, entertainment, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Deep understanding of integrated marketing, fan engagement, and experiential strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Experience with CRM, project management tools, and performance analytics platforms.
  • Background working with major leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS) or large sports properties/events.
  • Agency experience or prior role managing a portfolio of diverse brand partners.
  • Experience in managing and tracking activation budgets.
  • Must be creative, well-organized, possess a strong work ethic and a desire and willingness to learn and pursue excellence.
  • Must have experience in managing others within corporate partnerships activation, with the ability to provide performance reviews and help others meet their career goals.   
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
