The Huron Benefits team provides expertise, management, and compliance for the wide variety of benefits programs offered to Huron employees in the U.S., Canada, India, Singapore, Switzerland the U.K. As one of the fastest growing consulting firms, our benefits team plays a vital role in supporting Huron’s people experience, offering robust and meaningful benefits programs with a strong focus on holistic employee well-being. Our collaborative team structure is designed to provide both a quality benefits package and employee experience to our fast-paced employee population. U.S. benefits cover employees under two primary benefits packages, with one benefits package in each of the remaining countries.
Based on current needs, this role is needed to support the time off programs in the U.S., Canada, Switzerland and the U.K. Experience with Workday benefits and payroll is preferred.
This position will report to the Benefits Manager overseeing Global Absence and Disability and may support Health and Welfare Benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer Huron’s disability and time off programs in North America and Europe including process documentation, employee communication and data management. 
  • Support Benefits Manager with related compliance requirements, state filings and policy updates with an understanding of US federal, state and local laws and regulations 
  • Act as liaison between internal functional teams (for example, HR Operations, Workday technical support team, Payroll, HRBPs) to effectively support, administer and manage program changes 
  • Serve as first-level support for employee escalations, as well as HR and payroll inquiries related to these programs.  
  • Support vendor relationship including scheduling, communications, integration error reporting and process documentation 
  • Assist with benefit projects based on business need 

Preferred Skills:

  • Huron requires a bachelor’s degree in a field related to this position and 2-4 years’ minimum relevant experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across team members and departments    
  • Solid technical skills, including Workday, is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task
  • Solid quantitative and Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of Federal, State and Local Compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with employees, human resources, managers and leadership
  • Ability to identify process improvements to achieve efficiencies and team success 
  • Human Resources-related experience specifically with managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with IRS and DOL rules and regulations

The estimated base salary range for this job is $70,000-$90,000.  The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy.  Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $80,500-$103,500. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
