Our Associate Data Engineer position offers a unique opportunity to join an innovative engineering team within the AI & Data Science (AI&D) organisation.
You’ll work on next-generation capabilities and services in Applied AI & Automation using innovative COTS products, open-source software, frameworks, tools, and cloud computing services. The role also emphasizes demonstrating these capabilities to support critical business operations and initiatives, in ensuring quality, compliance, and performance across Amgen’s Applied AI & Automation Footprint.

What You Will Do
- Collaborate with cross functionally to perform data integration, create data models, design and develop dashboards and action flows
- Take ownership for the design, build, maintenance and analysis of data to drive business decisions
- Run discovery workshops with various business stakeholders to Model and design processes using BPMN
- Perform process and root cause analysis to identify metrics & KPIs
- Use AI assistants to speed extraction, modeling, analysis and surface insights.
- Stay current with the latest AI/ML and GenAI tooling and actively contribute to internal knowledge-sharing forums

What We Expect Of You
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Degree in an IT discipline or similar relevant subject
- Hands-on experience with Process Intelligence tools like Celonis
- Domain knowledge expertise with multiple SAP processes
- Knowledge of BPM tools and their standard practices
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and experience with data visualization tools
- Hands-on experience scripting languages
- Knowledge of RAG pipelines & prompt engineering
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large, complex datasets
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and compliance requirements
