Full Time

The Maritime Systems Division of Leidos is seeking a systems engineer with experience in algorithm development, especially in relation to tracking, Model Based Systems Engineering, test plan and procedure creation, and requirements development.   A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of systems engineering processes and experience with hardware/software integration.  Experience with MATLAB is highly beneficial.

The candidate should work well in a collaborative environment, understand Agile development methodologies, and seek to identify and champion both technical and process innovations.

The Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) is a product that supports sensor integration, data and track fusion, and network communications. Tasking and responsibilities will vary depending on project objectives and will extend to programs beyond CEC.

Primary Responsibilities

Support the development and maintenance of systems engineering artifacts for CEC and other programs including:

  • Requirements

  • Sysml Models

  • Test Plans

  • Test Procedures

  • Matlab Models

Responsibilities will also include data analysis of system performance as well as supporting simulation enhancements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Us Citizenship Required

  • Requires BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Proven experience in all phases of Systems Engineering including requirements, algorithms, integration, test, and modeling
  • Experience with hardware/software integration
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for an effective interface with all internal and external contacts. 
  • Possess business and technical vision

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Navy’s Cooperative Engagement Capability
  • Experience using the Atlassian toolset
  • Experience with Cameo/Magic Draw
  • Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum
  • Experience with track fusion concepts and implementations
  • Experience developing and giving presentations to a government customer

Pay Range:

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
