Senior Network Engineer - Data Center

Data Center consolidation is a challenge even for us at NN Digital Hub! That´s exactly why we´re now looking for a new teammates to join us as Senior Network Engineers in Prague, helping us bring this project to a successful conclusion.

Your impact at NN

You will be a part of a mid-sized (10 - 15 colleagues) network team based in Prague but working in a hybrid way (with at least one day per week required in the Prague office). As our goal is to centralize all NN data centers into the Dutch Private Cloud, your focus will be on the the Data Center consolidation project.

What are the tasks you will perform

• Troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
• Planning, designing, and evaluating Data Center architecture, including the consolidation of multiple locations into a centralized one.
• Making technological decisions and ensuring best practices and market standards are followed.
• Actively monitoring the health and performance of the network environment.
• Executing changes in the network environment across components such as firewalls, proxies, load balancers, and VPNs.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Enhancing or expanding existing automated processes.

What we expect from you

• A completed Master’s degree.
• Understanding of automation (Ansible), scripting (Python, Go), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Deep knowledge of Data Center design and standards.
• Ability to articulate architecture and private cloud technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco switching and routing technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Check Point.
• Experience managing SD-WAN, Office LAN, or Data Center networks.
• Experience with managing load balancers, proxies, and firewalls.
• Willingness to travel to NN branches in later phases of the project.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

How We Hire

After reviewing your application, including your CV in English, you will receive a short phone call from Petra (Talent Acquisition Partner) to discuss basic details about your previous work experience and the open position. If everything goes well, we will meet online for two interview rounds. The first round will be an open discussion with Petra and Pavel (Engineering Manager), focusing on your knowledge, expectations, and all relevant details about the role. The second round will be more technical, and we will invite one or two members of our current team, especially the Automation Architect.
