About the Team
State Street Investment Management’s Currency Management Team sits within the Fixed Income Cash and Currency (FICC) team and manages over $168 billion in foreign exchange (currency) overlay strategies across 11 base currencies for a diverse set of 350+ global client accounts. The team develops and implements overlay strategies are largely systematic spanning risk management and alpha seeking strategies as well as active and passive strategies.

• Role Overview
• We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Intern to join the Currency Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of model attribution
• Contribute to the discussion and design of potential model/strategy improvements based on insights from attribution analysis
• Support business analytics and efforts to improve/automate the performance reporting for specific client portfolios
• Respond to ad hoc requests from the research and portfolio management teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Capable Python programming skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Pursuing coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields
• Interest in asset management and quantitative finance.
• Exposure to one of the largest currency overlay managers in the world
• Hands-on experience in analyzing investment and risk management models

Salary Range:

$41,600 - $65,000 Annual
