Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to support logistics and third-party logistics (3PL) contracting activities across the Americas region. The ideal candidate will have expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts for Air, Ocean, Surface, Parcel, and Warehousing services. Additionally, the candidate should possess a strong understanding of contract lifecycle management (CLM) transformation, leveraging technology and process improvements to enhance contract efficiency and governance.
What You Will Do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate logistics and 3PL contracts, including GLAs, Appendices, SOWs, Amendments, and Standalone Agreements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., procurement, supply chain, finance, compliance, and legal teams) to align contractual terms with business objectives.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in logistics contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Supplier Engagement: Lead contract negotiations with logistics service providers, ensuring optimal commercial and operational outcomes.
- Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM): Support and enhance contract management processes, including automation, digitization, and the use of CLM tools for improved efficiency and visibility.
- Regulatory Compliance & Audit: Ensure contracts adhere to regional and international regulations governing logistics and supply chain operations. Support internal and external audits
- Dispute Resolution & Governance: Manage contract-related disputes, terminations, and renewals while ensuring alignment with dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements and best practices in contract management, leveraging AI-driven contract analytics where applicable.
What You Need To Bring:
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Law degree (LL.B./J.D. or equivalent) with 10-14 years of experience in contract management, preferably in logistics and supply chain.
- Proven experience in logistics/3PL contracting across different transportation and warehousing modes.
- Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management transformation, including automation, digital tools, and AI-driven contract analytics.
- Experience working with contract management tools and digital contracting platforms.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Americas and EMEA Region logistics/transportation contracts.
- Knowledge of procurement, supply chain operations, and regulatory frameworks related to logistics.
- Familiarity with global contracting principles, international trade laws, and compliance requirements.
