Job Description:
This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.
Assists in the DSME and DSE in the execution of Enterprise Data Management Standards and/or Global Records Management Standards, and data quality and control practices. Functions as a liaison between the DSME and data management stakeholders that carry out data management tasks. Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps. Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls. Partners with stakeholders to create an infrastructure and processes that adhere to the EDM/GRM standards and other regulatory mandates. Works with other groups as needed, including Compliance, Audit, Operational Risk, and Technology to ensure effective controls over data for respective Domain. May indirectly manage others. Responsible for data monitoring and controls across Global Technology (GT) FLU/Domains. Primary functions include monitoring existing and new business processes, risks, and controls, across the EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Data Lifecycles or GRM requirements to improve out-of-tolerance conditions; partner with stakeholders to perform QA assessments, identify and remediate gaps to ensure adherence to EDM/GRM Policies and Standards. - SME expert for adherence with Capture, Transport, Use, EDT for EDM and GRM standards across GT domains - Partner with FLU & DSE leads to provide oversight to create action plans to address EDM/GRM standards adherence remediation gaps - Facilitate annual EDM Standards & Adherence inspections to engage appropriate stakeholders - Partner with FLU & DSE leads to educate, report, monitor EDM /GRM standards adherence - Partner with FLU & DSE leads to research and resolve EDMR metric breaches
Responsibilities:
- Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set
- Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship
- Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform
- Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform
- Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents
Required Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years financial industry experience required preferably with Finance, Tech or Data role Detail oriented with the ability to handle a variety of tasks; works in a self-directed manner and takes a proactive approach to job responsibilities
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work, manage complexity and deliver solutions on deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience in performing data analysis tasks
- Demonstrated passion for intellectual curiosity and accuracy as well as the ability to research issues and identify root cause and patterns.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills required
- Spreadsheet skills, MS Access, MS Excel, Visual Basic for MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
