Job Description:
This job is responsible for facilitating scrum ceremonies, managing dependencies, providing visibility into delivery plans and progress, promoting agile principles and mindset through coaching, and enabling continuous improvement across multiple scrum teams. Key responsibilities include optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered for medium to high complexity projects and programs. Job expectations include ensuring the team resolves impediments quickly, following agreed-to processes, and maintaining a good relationship with the product management team and other stakeholders.

This role facilitates and guides multiple agile teams and BAs across the Value Steam on Agile practices and develop their understanding of Agile principles. Guides and Manages how to use Agile/Scrum concepts, values, practices and principles focusing on team effectiveness. This job is responsible for managing dependencies, providing visibility into delivery plans and progress, promoting agile principles and mindset through coaching, and enabling continuous improvement across multiple scrum teams. Job expectations include ensuring the teams resolves impediments quickly, following agreed-to processes, and maintaining a good relationship with the product management team and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitates Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives
• Provides visibility into the Agile team’s delivery plans and progress against plan to stakeholders
• Manages risk including dependency management, impediment removal and compliance with Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements
• Applies metrics to assess team delivery, maturity, and performance and identifies and shares improvement opportunities with the team
• Partners with product stakeholders to ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog
• Provides coaching and mentoring to the team for them to become high performing by collaborating, focusing on continuous improvement including cross-training, and sharing knowledge on scrum practices and Agile principles
• Leads scaled planning for the team including Pre Planning/Preparation and Program Increment Planning Events) and represents the team in Scrum of Scrums/Agile Release Train Syncs

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of product or project development experience
• 3+ years of project development experience on an Agile team
• Strong Agile understanding with a comprehensive combination of execution and training in Scrum methodology
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and understanding facilitation techniques
• Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to influence, remove obstacles, and motivate people without direct line management authority
• Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly address issues or problems
• Ability to coach and build a collaborative team of diverse individuals
• Ability to assign and delegate tasks appropriately, ensure alignment with priorities and schedule, and ensure the team is fully deployed and productive
• Knowledge of an Agile framework or method (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and understanding of software development lifecycle models and in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
• Proficiency in refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
• Experience in planning and problem-solving with product management and delivery teams

Desired Qualifications:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification, including PSM Levels 1, 2, and 3
• Completion of the Certified Scrum Developer course
• Experience with ServiceNow and using Jira for Agile project management techniques
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience using meeting software such as WebEx, Zoom, and Skype
