Capital Markets Release Manager

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced and dynamic Release Manager to join the LSEG Capital Markets team—where technology meets transformation.

This role is central to delivering innovative upgrades across our FX and Equities platforms, enabling the business to seize emerging market opportunities and meet regulatory commitments with agility and precision. Whether it's deploying new trading capabilities, improving system resilience, or aligning with global compliance standards, every release is a strategic achievement.

Your Role

As Release Manager, You Will:

• Collaborate with agile teams to schedule, plan, orchestrate, and deliver release targets whilst ensuring robustness and quality.
• Run release delivery across on-premise and cloud-based applications, supporting the group’s leading Capital Markets systems.
• Coordinate lower environment configuration and allocation, ensuring optimal availability and cost efficiency.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to support deployments during weekend maintenance windows. Flexibility will be provided for time off in lieu.

Your Impact

You’ll orchestrate the release deployment lifecycle—from planning to execution—across a portfolio of high-impact applications.

This Includes:

• Driving application upgrades that support business growth and regulatory alignment.
• Coordinating with Product Owners, QA, Sec-Ops, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams.
• Supporting infrastructure-led initiatives, disaster recovery exercises, and patching activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and scope release requirements
• Participate in change forums and CABs.
• Build and lead deployment runbooks, including handling any issues that may arise.
• Host technical and business Go/No-Go calls, test reviews, and post-release washups.
• Manage lower environment allocations.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose process enhancements.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience in Release or Project Management.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and Cutover.
• Experience deploying to physical and cloud environments.
• Good understanding of application infrastructure, networks, and databases.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
