Senior Specialist QA

Coordinates and oversees team activities and applies advanced testing knowledge of business requirements and software development lifecycles to design, execute and maintain tests of complex software solutions

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

1) Supervises a team, allocates tasks to team members and co-ordinate work of other team members to successfully implement the end-to-end testing in the software development life cycle

2) Manages and leads end-to-end testing delivery and activities in alignment with the organisation's quality standards and strategy to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified business and customer needs

3) Reviews and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and technology strategy

4) Provides line management of a testing team of both technical and non-technical testers

5) Oversees the maintenance of all customer technology solutions, ensuring all issues are resolved on time

6) Develops understanding of LSEG's commercial direction and how quality and technology are a part of this

7) Builds trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, growing own network and collaborating with other teams

8) Communicates complex / technical information clearly and concisely in an audience-appropriate format.

Qualifications And Experience:

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

• ISTQB Core Advanced/Test Management Certified or equivalent
• Exhibits Test Management and Line Management experience in manual, test automation or performance testing resources
• Exhibits Test Management experience in entire software development life cycle, software quality assurance and one programming language, preferably in multi-tiered applications

• In depth technical expertise, knowledge of technologies and design, development and implementation of technologies. Level 2

System and technology integration
Possesses knowledge of features and facilities for integration, and communication among applications, databases and technology platforms to bring together different components and form a fully functional solution to a business problem. Level 2

Domain expertise
Possesses technical knowledge of tools and trends within industry; stays current in possible future policies, practices, trends and information affecting prospects or customer businesses and their internal organisation; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace. Level 2

Commercial insight
Utilises deep understanding of the commercial models and strategies that underpin the business, product or service the organisation provides to manage the function as a viable business entity. Level 2
