About The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Management, this role is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing talent management strategies that enable the organization to attract, develop, engage, and retain top talent. The Senior Specialist, Talent Management collaborates with HR and business leaders to drive key initiatives in leadership development, succession planning, performance management, talent programs, and talent analytics—ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the corporate-wide roll-out of Performance Management (PM) processes across Magna and its Groups.
  • Monitor implementation progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion of all PM milestones.
  • Collaborate with Group Talent Leads and the Subject Matter Experts(SME’s)  to ensure consistency and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of succession planning and performance management frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment with Magna’s talent philosophy and evolving business needs.
  • Support the implementation and evolution of the talent review process, including digital tools and platforms.
  • Facilitate talent assessments and development planning for identified high-potential talent in line with business priorities.
  • Research external best practices and emerging trends in talent management, including AI-driven solutions.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance Magna’s talent strategy and optimize talent processes.
  • Develop and execute communication and change management plans for new tools and initiatives.
  • Create supporting materials such as toolkits, job aids, and guides to ensure successful adoption and user experience.
  • Support the enablement of employees and leaders to engage in meaningful performance, development, and career conversations.
  • Develop and deliver training, toolkits, and resources to build capability in feedback, goal setting, and career planning.

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organization Development, or related field of study desired.
  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in Talent Management, Leadership Assessments,  Performance Management, and Succession Planning. Prior experience in these areas is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in creating, administrating and sustaining Talent Management processes, including Performance Management, Development, and Succession Planning.
  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Expertise in leading global cross-functional projects, teams and organizations.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, talent management, and organizational behavior.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Your Preferred Qualifications

  • Some manufacturing environment exposure preferred
  • Experience with HRIS-System – Workday is an asset and is preferred
