The Role:

This exciting Brand Manager role is to lead the development, positioning, and growth of a brand by crafting and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that build brand equity, drive consumer engagement, and deliver business results. The Brand Manager is responsible for overseeing brand health, managing budgets, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring consistent, compelling brand experiences across all touchpoints, in alignment with organisational goals 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand plan and drive implementation to strengthen brand equity and drive market share growth.
  • Work with the Content team to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring consistency and high impact across all channels to deliver increased consumer engagement and sales uplift.
  • Shape brand comms plans and own in store execution and shopper plans, acting as the key commercial contact for retailer plans and ensuring our brand is seen, heard and memorable across all touch points. 
  • Own specific areas of the brand P&L and the overall monthly M&C reporting, creating brand KPI reports and developing wider category insights.
  • Monitor brand performance through key metrics and market data, providing actionable insights to adjust plans and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Supply Chain, and Category teams to ensure flawless execution across Proposition, Price, Pack, Channel and Architecture.
  • Champion the brand positioning and ensure adherence to brand guidelines, protecting brand integrity and maintaining a consistent and premium consumer perception.
  • Brief and manage internal Content team and agencies as required, to execute brand management of specific digital platforms, reflecting brand equity and managing customer care journey.
  • Influence stakeholders by presenting clear, data-driven recommendations, gaining buy-in for strategic initiatives to accelerate brand growth.

Technical Skills And Experience:

  • Experience in brand management or Marketing roles within FMCG
  • Proven experience of delivering successful end to end brand campaigns.
  • Commercial acumen, with a grasp of P&L drivers, pricing, margins and financial levers.
  • Understanding of consumer needs, market trends, and shopper behaviour to drive relevant, insight led brand initiatives.
  • Ability to champion new ideas and manage ambiguity to keep the brand competitive.  
  • Proven ability to identify and apply consumer insight to drive brand performance

Skills:

  • Advanced brand and marketing management skills
  • Excellent planning skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data, drawing insights and assimilating complicated, often ambiguous information to distil into strategies and evidence-based recommendations 
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including senior stakeholders
  • Creative problem solving and innovative thinking – breaks conventions and challenges the status quo, seeks out knowledge and insights, and brings the outside in
  • Financial Literacy
