The purpose of this position is to perform complex administrative work in budget preparation, document production, fiscal analysis, and performance measurement. Acts as a budget liaison for various city departments. Provides technical support to city department staff by resolving budgetary issues, helping develop and validate data for performance measures, creating custom reports, and providing training as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a budget liaison for various City departments; respond to departmental inquiries, resolve budget-related issues, and provide training as needed.
- Perform budget and financial analysis, including forecasting revenue, operating and capital expenditures, fund balances, and capital fund availability to support the annual budget process.
- Prepare financial schedules, draft presentations, and written narratives; coordinate the publication of the City’s annual budget document.
- Manage the City’s performance measurement program by assisting departments in developing performance metrics, validating data, and publishing results in multiple formats.
- Review City Council communications to ensure accurate and complete representation of financial impacts.
- Collaborate with internal analysts and department staff to support citywide goals and initiatives.
- Conduct research, analyze financial and operational data, and prepare detailed reports as assigned.
- Administer the citywide budget preparation process, ensuring consistency and alignment with City policies and strategic priorities.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years’ of professional work experience in a related field.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in a municipal or government setting.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
