Mō tēnei tūranga mahi / The Opportunity:

NZSEG is seeking a dynamic International Learner Support Lead to champion student wellbeing, lead a high-performing support team, and shape the student experience for learners from all over the world.

This role blends leadership, strategy, and hands-on student support in a fast-paced and meaningful environment. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring we meet the Code of Practice, while helping students thrive from orientation to graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Learner Support Advisors across all campuses
• Oversee pastoral care and drive continuous improvement in student wellbeing services
• Oversee, lead and coordinate cross-campus student support and event delivery
• Engage with families, agents, communities and stakeholders
• Ensure smooth front-line service operations across multiple sites
• Manage case escalations and urgent welfare matters
• Weekly reporting and analysing data using Power BI, SELMA and Zoho
• Working closely with the head of schools and the wider business

Ko koe tēnei | About you:

• Proven experience in international student support
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Cultural sensitivity and empathy in diverse environments
• Working knowledge of Code of Practice 2021
• Excellent communication, organisation and crisis management skills
• Event coordination experience (a plus!)
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in education
• A positive, student-first mindset with energy to lead change
