Job Description
Purpose of the role
To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
- Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
- Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
- Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

In this role within the life cycle management team, you will be instrumental in supporting global trading businesses across FX, rates, and credit products by managing trade lifecycle events and ensuring operational accuracy and risk integrity. As the primary contact for trading desks, you will oversee trade capture, amendments, allocations, and event processing, while resolving reconciliation breaks and executing end-of-day controls. You will collaborate with infrastructure teams to address cross-functional challenges, maintain operational risk standards, and contribute to strategic and regulatory objectives. Success in this role requires good communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a forward-looking approach to optimizing processes, improving workflow efficiency, and strengthening the control environment throughout the trade lifecycle.
To be successful as an Analyst - Derivatives Middle Office, you should have:
- Ample foundational knowledge in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or physics, demonstrating solid analytical discipline and quantitative aptitude
- Well-versed in the end-to-end trade lifecycle for FX and rates products, including trade capture, allocation, amendment, and settlement processes
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a considerable emphasis on accuracy and control throughout trade processing and lifecycle events
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment, especially when handling time-sensitive queries and risk-related issues
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset to identify, investigate, and resolve trade discrepancies and operational breaks
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Familiarity with basic programming concepts, along with practical experience in VBA and Macros, enabling automation and efficiency in operational workflows
- Highly organized, with excellent time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to build, maintain, and strengthen collaborative relationships across key business areas, including trading, technology, global middle office teams, and front-office stakeholders such as sales and structuring

Minimum Salary: $64,000
Maximum Salary: $87,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
