Regeneron is seeking a Senior Director, Insights & Analytics (I&A) - Dermatology

In this role, a typical day might include:

The Senior Director, Insights and Analytics (I&A) – Dermatology will report into the Executive Director, I&A (Immunology), within the Commercial Strategy and Insights and Analytics (CSI&A) department. This role will oversee a high-performing team responsible for generating actionable insights from a broad set of I&A sources, to inform business decisions. The role will partner with and serve as a strategic advisor for the VP, Dermatology, and will partner with other leaders to grow and develop talent within the CSI&A (Immunology) team.

This role might be for you if you can:

Lead

1) Lead the I&A Dermatology team in providing business analytics, customer insights and competitive intelligence to address all commercialization needs

2) Set the strategic I&A direction that aligns with overarching Dermatology priorities and helps drive launch excellence

Develop

3) Foster innovative solutions and a design-thinking approach aligned with strategies for the dermatology business

4) Develop people from both a functional skills and leadership perspective, with the goal of growing internal talent

5) Assess and implement novel methodologies and frameworks to a) garner meaningful insights to inform business decisions in a manner that keeps pace with the speed of the operating environment; and b) enhance brand differentiation and impact

Partnership And Collaboration

6) Lead efforts to identify and crystalize insights that inform strategic plans for Dermatology

7) Collaborate with the Dermatology CBU and other members of senior leadership to identify, predict and inform business decisions relating to the competitive outlook for Dermatology, and any pipeline Immunology (Dermatology) medicines

8) Develop and maintain a mutually beneficial partnership with CBU stakeholders; ensure insight generation and feedback are embraced; strike a balance between project rigor, timelines and ability to influence decisions

9) Coordinate alignment with Alliance counterparts and stakeholders on all insights and analytics agendas

10) Work with other CSI&A leaders to develop standardized adoption of capabilities such as marketing mix, promotional optimization, data science, market structure analysis, patient/treatment flow modeling, analog modeling and ML/AI methodologies across I&A

Execute

11) Proactively communicate with the Dermatology CBUs and provide strategic recommendations and insights as well as anticipated future needs

12) In collaboration with the Executive Director, I&A Immunology, construct and deliver integrated business reviews, I&A summary overviews with leadership from Dermatology and CSI&A

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) with 15+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience, in roles of increasing accountability; prior experience with market-leading brands required and immunology-specific experience is desired
  • 15+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience in Commercial roles with increasing responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Functional expertise in business analytics, HCP consumer/patient insights, primary research methods, analog forecast development and competitive intelligence
  • Prior experience managing I&A groups with responsibility for analytics, HCP consumer/patient insights, market access analytics, and competitive intelligence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment, as it relates to commercialization in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
  • Knowledge of data industry standards
  • Proven ability to influence, communicate and negotiate with all levels of management across functional and business unit boundaries
  • Extensive experience with managing numerous projects concurrently against stringent deadlines
  • Prior experience working with I&A projects and initiatives where a balance between project rigor and timeliness was needed
  • Ability to think strategy to execution, with hands-on experience in implementing large initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Expertise in data visualization and data storytelling
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to resolve conflict, drive consensus and work across multiple departments
  • Strong organizational, project management, influencing and change management skills 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project and priorities concurrently, while meeting stringent deadlines
  • Preferred Skills: prior experience working in an Alliance partnership
