The Role:
As Sales Area Manager, your mission is to maximize the sales volume (customer order intake, wholesale and registration volume) of our brands through managing an effective dealer network and a dealer pipeline supporting future sales plans. You are an important link between the company and the dealer network, representing Astara and its brands on the field and the dealer network.
Main Functions/Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth – Achieve regional sales targets by developing strategies to improve outlet customer order achievement. Support the dealers within your area in maximising their vehicle sales and customer satisfaction performance.
- Geographical area: Full country (as of EOM Aug 2025) up to 25 outlets
- Operational Efficiency – Support planning of vehicle ordering and inventory management.
- Customer Satisfaction – Work with dealerships to maintain high service standards and resolve customer issues. Develop a strong dialogue and partnership between Astara and the dealer network by acting as the link for communication from both sides.
- Sales Leadership – Train, motivate, and performance manage dealership managers and sales teams.
- Market Analysis – Monitor trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to adjust strategies on a local level (events, campaigns, communication etc)
- Compliance & Brand Standards – Ensure adherence to industry regulations, brand guidelines, as well as contract and commercial policies (for example, # of demo/courtesy vehicles, showroom corporate identity and cleanliness, latest POS material, training compliance, system usage etc).
- The role is a traveling role and involves mandatory visits to dealers 3-4 days per week, with office presence on Mondays and last week of the month
- The role is based in Kista, Sweden
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field and 5-10 years in automotive, car distribution, or related industries (e.g., fleet management, dealership management, or logistics).
- 3+ years experience in field force operations
- Proven success in sales growth, market expansion, and dealer management.
- Experience in sales and dealership performance management.
- Experience in compliance management of contractual partners
Skills And Competences
- Fluent in Swedish (written and spoken). Working proficiency in English is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Strong understanding of vehicle sales, inventory management and competitiveness in the Swedish market
- Ability to analyze KPIs and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship skills.
- Experience with CRM and dealership management systems.
