Position Summary:
The Contract Manager/Country Sector Director is responsible for managing all Sector activities within the country, covering the full lifecycle of contracts and projects, from pre-bid through execution, monitoring, and delivery. In addition to contractual and compliance oversight, this role acts as the sector’s representative in-country, promoting business opportunities, engaging with key stakeholders, and ensuring seamless coordination with Corporate functions, Procurement and Engineering & Production (E&P) teams. The position ensures alignment between sector strategy and country-specific execution, contributing to growth, risk mitigation, and delivery excellence.

- Serve as the primary point of contact with the clients for all contract-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review RFPs, bid documents, and final contract terms to ensure alignment with sector strategy, feasibility, and commercial priorities.
- Structure and manage contractual agreements in coordination with Legal, Finance, and Execution teams.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, milestones, and payment terms. oversee documentation of amendments, variations, and change orders.
- Maintain accurate records of all contracts, including invoices, penalties, modifications, and correspondence.
- Lead risk identification and develop mitigation strategies for contractual and operational risks.
- Provide regular contract performance reports to the Sector Director, Country General Manager (CGM) and Clients, including compliance, financial status, and key variations.
- Capture and share lessons learned to support future contracting and execution strategies.
- Act as the sector’s ambassador in-country, promoting Mitrelli’s capabilities and ensuring strong market positioning.
- Build and maintain relationships with government entities, institutional partners, and local stakeholders to identify opportunities for new projects, contract extensions, and partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Country Business Development (CBD) team and Sector Directors to ensure coordinated pipeline development and market intelligence sharing.
- Represent the sector at client forums, industry events, and promotional activities, enhancing visibility and fostering trust.
- Provide insights on market trends and client priorities to shape future sector strategies and proposals.
- Ensure project delivery performance meets contractual obligations, quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
- Coordinate closely with E&P, Procurement and Corporate functions to align execution with sector and country priorities.
- Participate in project review meetings to address risks, resolve cross-functional issues, and ensure seamless execution.
- Promote knowledge transfer and lessons learned from ongoing and completed projects to continuously improve sector practices.
- Serve as the sector’s focal point for corporate functions in the country, ensuring consistent alignment with the broader “One Mitrelli” framework.
- Contribute to country-level strategic discussions, aligning sector priorities with national business goals and operational realities.
- Support corporate reporting and governance requirements by providing sector-specific insights for country reviews, audits, and leadership forums.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in contract management, project delivery, or sector leadership within infrastructure or government-regulated environments.
- Strong background in stakeholder engagement, public procurement, and multi-functional coordination.
- Proven ability to represent a business unit externally and manage complex client relationships.
- Fluent in English and the local language of the country of operation.
