Position Title: Early Education Assistant Manager - Strong Foundations Program
Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager of Early Education supports the daily operations of a licensed early childhood center by overseeing administrative tasks, assisting with billing and enrollment, ensuring compliance, and supporting staff and families. This role helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized environment while upholding the center’s high standards of care and education.
Hourly Pay Rate: $21.00
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7AM-4PM / 8:30AM -5:30PM
Location: Phoenix, AZ

Required Orientation
Our New Hire Orientation takes place during your first week of employment:
Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | HR Campus in Mesa, AZ
Early release may be granted upon completion of all orientation requirements. Please note: orientation is not available during evenings or weekends.

Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree

Experience:
Required (in addition to minimum ADHS qualifications for a licensed facility)
• Minimum of 1-year experience working with children 6-weeks to 5 years’ old
• Minimum of 1-year office experience
• Minimum of 1-year experience implementing, and/ or complying with DES and CACFP programming
Preferred:
• Minimum 1-year experience working for a non-profit organization
• Experience with DECA and ASQ tools
• Bilingual in Spanish

Working Conditions & Personnel Requirements
• ADHS licensed childcare center
• 40 hours per week work schedule/non-exempt status; after-hours and weekends may be required as situations necessitate. Flexibility between the hours of 7am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds

Responsibilities:
• Provide daily communication to management regarding incident reports, illnesses, medications, payments etc.
• Assist with billing, client invoicing, and accounts receivable
• Receive, document and administer medications to children
• Conduct initial enrollments and new client orientation/tours
• Conduct Center tours for the public
• Maintain and communicate wait list information to families
• Train front-desk staff
• Print and submit attendance reports to appropriate persons
• Maintain meal count information into database
• Report child abuse/neglect to appropriate authorities in a timely manner

Compliance Requirements:
• Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
• Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• DCS Central Registry Background Check
• Drug Screening
• TB Test (Depending on Program)
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Therapeutic Options Training (Depending on Program)
• Valid Unrestricted Driver’s License
• Current Auto Liability Insurance
• 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
