  SUMMARY   As part of Subaru’s commitment to be More Than a Car Company®, this role leads Love Promise University (LPU), driving customer loyalty through innovative training, curriculum design, and retailer engagement. Oversees a national team and agency partners to deliver best-in-class customer experience strategies, build retailer capabilities, and strengthen Subaru’s brand promise through impactful learning and development. Partners with internal stakeholders, Subaru of America (SOA) Field team, and our retailers to inform and evolve strategy that best influences behavior at the retail level. 
  MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and executes the strategy for Love Promise University (LPU) that promotes brand loyalty within the Subaru customer base.
  • Leads a current team of fifteen (15) Customer Experience Managers (CEMs) (three [3] direct reports and twelve [12] indirect reports) and works with two (2) CEMs at Subaru Distributors Corporation (SDC) and one (1) at Subaru of New England (SNE) to accomplish the mission of creating culture and process changes at our Subaru retailers to create extraordinary customer experiences.
  • Develops staff who are executing LPU to improve their performance and leadership competences for their current position and any future opportunities.
  • Refines and evolves the mission to ensure continuous improvement of customer experience metrics in conjunction with Subaru of America (SOA) management.
  • Develops process and expands strategy to include internal and external stakeholders that drives a broader reach within the organization.
  • Acts as the face/voice of or represents LPU in various training modules and mediums that create new ways to connect and engage with our Love Promise Champions.
  • Leads the strategy and provides oversight and management to agency partner not limited to budget, creative direction, and messaging as well as communication tactics.
  • Provides reporting on budgeting forecasts and expenditure analysis to SOA management and maintains overall responsibility for the LPU budget.
  • Leads the management of curriculum development and directs training across retailers.
  • Develops strong relationships and effectively communicates to the Regions, Zones, retailers, and their personnel on the LPU mission.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, approves, and executes on the details of on-site training and events for LPU including location, transportation, and amenities. Delegates responsibilities for these events among CEM team members.
  • Develops presentations and facilitates as necessary at national conferences, National Retailer Advisory Board (NRAB) meetings, and other corporate events and functions.
    REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong leadership and development skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Significant program management experience.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple vendors and partners.
  • Ability to manage a very large and complex budget.
  • Resource management skills.
  • Proficiency at data analysis which impacts budgets and expenditures.
  • Excellent training facilitation skills; ability to deliver powerful presentations that speak to the audience.
  • Knowledge of retail operations.
  • Computer proficiency, including navigation of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI).
  • Ability to work with and within several Subaru of America (SOA) departments (including Sales, Fixed Operations, Marketing, Zones, Regions, Human Resources [HR], Customer Advocacy Department [CAD], etc.) and retailers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) required with at least 10-12 years' of relevant experience required.

    WORK ENVIORNMENT
  • Hybrid Role - Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]
  • Travel Required: 50% (Domestic)
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $135500 - $190000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: D1)
