Position Details:
•    Job Title: QA Engineer (Functional + Automation)
•    Location: Hyderabad

Role Overview

We are looking for a versatile QA Engineer with strong functional testing skills and hands-on experience in test automation (Selenium with java or Playwright). The ideal candidate can handle both Manual and Automation testing, with proven experience across Web, Mainframe, API, and Enterprise applications. A strong foundation in testing fundamentals, analytical thinking, and clear communication is key to succeeding in this role.
Responsibilities:
•    Design, document, and execute test cases across Web, Mainframe, API, and Enterprise applications.
•    Apply strong testing fundamentals (SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle) to ensure comprehensive coverage.
•    Perform exploratory testing to identify hidden defects and validate end-to-end business scenarios.
•    Identify, log, and track defects with well-documented reproduction steps.
•    Anticipate edge cases, analyse requirements, and highlight gaps or inconsistencies early.
•    Support automation efforts using Selenium or Playwright 
•    Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA peers to ensure high-quality releases.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and practices.
 

Skills & Experience:

  • 4–7 years of QA experience in functional testing of Web, Mainframe, API, and Enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals: SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, testing types (functional, regression, integration, UAT).
  • Proven analytical and attention-to-detail skills to identify defects, edge cases, and requirement gaps.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to document results, raise issues, and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright automation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar).

Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or automation integration.
