Your Team

The role is part of the independent Line 2 Risk function which is led by the Group Chief Risk Officer. The Line 2 Risk team is part of the broader Legal, Governance, Risk & Compliance business unit.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, Group Risk Services, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing the framework, policies and standards relating to the Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Resilience framework for CFS, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and maintaining the policy and standards supporting BCP and Resilience of third-party service providers.
  • Partnering with business leads on the implementation of BCP and Resilience strategies, including conducting risk assessments of internal and third-party plans, business impact analyses, and supporting the development response and recovery plans.
  • Second line challenge and oversight of controls, risks and practices of businesses in relation to BCP and Operational Resilience.
  • Coordinating and conducting regular testing and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of the BCP and Resilience plans and identify areas for improvement for CFS and relevant third parties.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to business continuity and resilience efforts.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the BCP and Resilience program to senior management and relevant committees.

Your Capability and Experience

 

  • Proven experience in identifying, assessing and mitigating various types of risks at an enterprise-wide level, including operational resilience, business continuity planning, crisis management, service provider governance and related fields.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Business Continuity Plans and Resilience frameworks, preferably within the financial services industry, with a focus on superannuation entities.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to business continuity and resilience, such as APRA's Prudential Standard CPS 232 and 230.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills; able to lead cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), would be advantageous.
