The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing project opportunities from scope through completion. This role partners closely with branch teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure Harrington provides accurate quotations, complete submittal packages, and exceptional customer support. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
• Scope construction projects to identify and develop a complete list of products Harrington can furnish.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare cost and selling price estimates.
• Review documentation to ensure conformance to project requirements.
• Prepare RFQ (Request for Quotation) letters for vendors and Scope Letters for contractors.
• Generate customer quotations and assemble product submittal packages.
• Position Harrington’s value proposition across our full product and solution portfolio.
• Communicate project progress to branch personnel and coordinate vendor efforts to secure approvals.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a product submittal library.
• Manage multiple projects across different branches at varying stages.
• Drive business development in the project space by maintaining a pipeline of opportunities.
• Track accomplishments and maintain reports for Project Group activities.
• Train new hires in all aspects of Project Coordinator responsibilities.
• Collect feedback from branch managers on completed projects to drive improvement.
Education & Experience
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months–1 year of related experience in construction management, estimating, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Requirements
• Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Experience with Prelude and ACT! preferred, but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
